La Presse Canada has faced criticism for its handling of the story, raising concerns about the accuracy and fairness of its reporting. According to Mr. Ekens Azubuike, the founder of Ekens Foundation International, during the interview, in response to the defamation and slander lawsuit he filed against Copart Canada Inc. and Copart Montreal Inc., he stated that La Presse Canada, whose business activities were situated in the downtown Montreal courthouse, is known for publishing false articles without proper investigative journalism, especially in this particular case, where they were hired by Copart Canada Inc. to use him as a scapegoat to cover up their white-collar insurance crime.
